Project Israel To Do:

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:

Campaignbox structure not suitable[edit]

Once, the campaignbox structure is not suitable for this topic. It makes it look like a war campaign. What you should use is navbox such as Template:Arab–Israeli conflict (topics). In fact, you should just add occupations issues there, rather than standalone navbox.GreyShark (dibra) 05:26, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Greyshark09: I thought about the same, but on reflection military occupation is part of war, even if unnaturally extended over decades. Onceinawhile (talk) 06:53, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Military occupation is the legal ending of the war in line with Geneva conventions, establishing temporary governance over occupied areas. Your idea here however is quite different - it deals with Israeli take over of Dar al-Islam, which is seen illegal from Islamic theology and stands for Arabic: احتلال, no matter the legal international status (temporary governance, annexation, autonomy, etc). Most of those issues are not military occupation per definition - Gaza has no military governance, neither South Lebanon ever had, State of Palestine is not military governed by Israeli Army (except Area C by COGAT), Golan is annexed. All past occupations are already described under Israeli Military Governorate and Israeli Civil Administration. Forking is not helpful, but waste of time on your behalf.GreyShark (dibra) 05:27, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changed to navbox, you are welcome to play with it - much more relevant navbox than military campaignbox.GreyShark (dibra) 05:44, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting idea. I much prefer the smaller version. Maybe we should have an RFC to compare the two versions? Onceinawhile (talk) 06:03, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Your are welcome to do an RfC.GreyShark (dibra) 09:12, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am avoiding "war campaign" semblances by keeping it WP:NPOV, this way it is just a navbox for the articles related to the status of the situation and not just the war efforts of Israel. To be specific, the Golan Heights annexation is globally-contested and so I am replacing the link with simply "Status of the Golan Heights", this way it is NPOV and not a war campaign at all anymore. The navbox is indeed very useful for such an important topic. Best, Altanner1991 (talk) 23:12, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Navbox width query[edit]

Does anyone know how to increase the width of the default navbox display format when expanded - it is currently displaying incorrectly: see this example usage. Iskandar323 (talk) 08:04, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
