Necessary template?

[edit]

I appreciate that this is intended as a kinder, simpler iteration of Template:AFDWarning to be used most especially when nominating articles of new contributors, but I wonder whether the generalized AFDWarning is really unwieldy or otherwise likely to bite. The instant version of this template strikes me as conveys the same message as does AFDWarning but with less precision. Might other editors be amenable to our redirecting this to the generalized version (to which perhaps we might append the think I'm mistaken language, which I think is quite good and suggests appropriately that we welcome the participation of all editors, irrespective of familiarity with the project, in AfD discussions)? • When this template was created, AFDWarning simply did not exist. If the AFD community has evolved since I created this template, then you have my blessing to merge. --M@rēino 16:03, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
