Links to disambiguation pages[edit]

This template currently contains links to CCF, Bloc, LPC, NDP, Conservative, and Independent, each of which is a disambiguation page. However, the template also contains links to the full name of each party. Given the complex syntax being used here, I can't figure out whether the abbreviated forms are actually needed or whether it would be possible to unlink them (since the link to the full party name is the one that a reader should use to get more information about the party). It would be appreciated if someone who understands the template syntax could address this. --Russ (talk) 17:08, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Riding[edit]

This template needs to have options for (a) multiple ridings (an MP does not necessarily represent the same electoral district throughout their entire career in politics), (b) multiple predecessors (same reason), (c) multiple successors and (d) multiple terms in office (not all MPs necessary served uninterrupted - frex, Dawn Black and John Reynolds.)

I'm going to start replacing it with {{Infobox Politician}} (which does have those options) if this isn't addressed. I can't just fix it myself; I don't know how. Bearcat 04:27, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
