Year scale[edit]

I suggest that the year scale unit of this template should be changed from "Years" to "million years". This would allow the values to be simplified from 2e+06, 3e+06 etc to 2, 3 etc, which I think is much more obvious and understandable. GeoWriter (talk) 13:00, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey GeoWriter. You may want to see the conversation happening here. Although I created this template, it was kind of a "dumb creation" since I just transferred the content from an individual article to a template, so it could be transcluded on multiple articles. I don't really have a terribly good understanding of how to tweak or change the content of the timeline itself. TimothyJosephWood 13:02, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
