The DYK assertion is both slightly inaccurate (the oldest working fire station was Clerkenwell, where Pearsall designed a later extension) and now out of date (the fire stations, both Woolwich and Clerkenwell, closed yesterday, 9 January 2014). Perhaps it needs to be amended to read:

  • ... that London's oldest operational fire station, part designed by Robert Pearsall, closed on 9 January 2014
