Edit request[edit]

Please change the parameters so that {{Flag|Free France}} creates a link to Free France, as that article has been moved recently. (If possible, {{Flag|Free French Forces}} should continue to create a link Free French Forces, but if not, then a link to "Free France" is OK }}). walk victor falk talk 15:10, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. I see no reason to change the behaviour of this template and any change in behaviour should have a consensus based on a sandbox tested change, which this request lacks. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 15:21, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The only way to let {{Country data Free France}} and {{Country data Free French Forces}} link to different titles is to have them as seperate templates, or to use a trick like I did with Myanmar and Burma. SiBr4 (talk) 16:02, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 10 July 2014[edit]

This is how I want the source to be:

{{ {{{1<noinclude>|country showdata</noinclude>}}} | alias = Free France | shortname alias = Free French | flag alias = Flag of Free France 1940-1944.svg | flag alias-naval = Naval Ensign of Free France.svg | link alias-naval = Free French Naval Forces | size = {{{size|}}} | name = {{{name|}}} | variant = {{{variant|}}} <noinclude> | related1 = France </noinclude> }}

This is how it looks in my sandbox; it looks OK to me.

Is this how a template edit request is made?

 Done I moved the template instead. Generally we want the template name to match the main article name as specified in the alias parameter, and create additional redirects for other forms. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 17:30, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
