This template is used to provide a link to the ESPNcricinfo player database for a specified cricketer.

Usage[edit]

Copy a blank version to use. Almost all parameter names are supported only in lower case (some initialisms, such as |isbn= have upper-case aliases like |ISBN=, which are acceptable for use). Use the "|" (pipe) character between each parameter. Unused parameters may be deleted to avoid clutter in the edit window. Some samples on this documentation page may include the current date. If the date is not current, then purge the page.

Required parameter[edit]

ID: the player's identifier from the database (the number XXXXX listed http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/XXXXX).

Optional parameters[edit]

Additional information for the title:

playername: The cricketer's name.
access-date: The date a Wikipedia editor retrieved information from ESPNcricinfo.
mode: Defaults to |mode=cs1; set to |mode=cs2 to provide consistency with Citation style 2, as produced by {{Citation}}.
postscript: Controls the closing punctuation for the citation. Defaults to a period (.); for no terminating punctuation set to |postscript=none, however using |mode=cs2 does this automatically.
fewer-links: Use |fewer-links=yes to remove repeated links where the template is used more than once in an article.
