List of number-one adult contemporary singles of 2010 (U.S.)[edit]

  • Comment: The source says the song was "Year-End most popular soft rock/adult pop songs, ranked by radio airplay detections" but I don't see where it was the "best selling song." It might have been the best selling song of the year in the category since it topped the chart for 15 weeks, more than any other song that year. But I think the the source must say this directly, not just imply it, in order to support the hook. Either something I have missed on the source needs to be pointed out - or another source needs to be added for this hook - or the hook needs to be changed to state it was the number one song of the year by airplay or that it was the song that topped the chart for the most weeks of the year. I am not going to be online much for the next three weeks so someone else may have to pick this up unless there is a fast response. Donner60 (talk) 05:01, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Note: This chart measures airplay only, not sales. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 07:13, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
ALT2: that the song "Need You Now", performed by Lady Antebellum, ranked as the number one song on the U.S. Adult Contemporary song on the Billboard 2010 year-end list? Aaron You Da One
I give this an approved review based on the editor's acceptance of my deletion of the words "best selling" from the corresponding sentence in the article. With that deletion, the new ALT2 hook is supported by the source. "Best selling" needs to be supported by another source if it is to be added back. All other requirements are met. QPQ is done. No image. I will notify. Donner60 (talk) 21:56, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
I didn't put "best-selling" in ALT2. I changed it to "ranked as the number one song", which is true. Look at the sourced year end list, and Need You Now is number one. Aaron You Da One 10:41, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
All true. I am noting that I changed the sentence in the article so it is in line with the hook. I wanted to be sure you knew that and did not object to it. Donner60 (talk) 22:22, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Sorry if my attempt to be complete and tidy may have slowed this up. Absent an objection from the editor (Aaron/Calvin), which I would not expect based on his previous response, the article and the DYK are ready for promotion as far as I am concerned. This is to let anyone concerned know that I will be offline (on vacation and away from computers) starting in a few minutes until about September 8 or a day or two later.
