Good 2 go. I so love this article. This nom is fine to go as is with the original hook. But because of the interesting aspects of this, I would like to offer a couple of Alt hooks, if Northamerica1000 would weigh in on them. A different editor would have to review the alts.— Maile (talk) 12:57, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

  • Alt1 ... that dog surfing (pictured) has evolved into a competitive sport?
  • Alt2 ... that dog surfing (pictured) dates back as far as 1920 and was depicted in the silent movie On The Waves in Waikiki?
Thanks User:Maile66: I like your ALT1 hook, but it's rather short. I still prefer (like) the original hook at this time because it covers various types of existent dog surfing, all in one line. Thanks for the review, and also thanks for adding in "(pictured)" to my initial hook, which I mistakenly overlooked doing when devising it! Northamerica1000(talk) 13:27, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
Great job! I like ALT2 the best. CallawayRox (talk) 19:33, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
ALT2 is nice because as a hook, it introduces history and coverage in mass media. I'm fine with ALT2. Struck/modified parts of my comment above. Northamerica1000(talk) 02:45, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
