  • I can't access the online reference but accepted in good faith. Date and lenght verified, ok. One little problem however, the article is currently marked as a stub. Personally, I would classify it as start but I'm not notable enough on the subject to make that call. I will notify the author. Calistemon (talk) 15:37, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
I've removed the stub markers. I think the length justifies start class too. Ben MacDui
Its good to go then. Calistemon (talk) 00:43, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Further to the request by Calistemon, I have provided direct urls to the relevant Acts, eg. http://www.rps.ac.uk/search.php?action=fc&fn=charlesi_trans&id=id8564&query=&type=trans&variants=&google= Another User requested a verifiable ref regarding modern (50s, 60s, 70s) reinstatement of Christmas holiday. Duly referenced now. I have found an absolute wealth of material, especially on the post-Reformation suppression of Easter and Christmas, which is well-covered in published works. However, I would like to expand more on the pre-Reformation (Middle Ages) practices, and on the modern era practices.

I would like to add some nice images, but the only ones available on Commons are not really up to scratch. --Mais oui! (talk) 06:50, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
