Assembly Members (Reduction of Numbers) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016
[edit]- ... that the implementation of the Assembly Members (Reduction of Numbers) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 was brought forward after the resignation of Northern Ireland's deputy First Minister? Source: Irish Times
- ALT1:... that the Northern Ireland Assembly will lose 18 MLAs because of the Assembly Members (Reduction of Numbers) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 at the snap election today? Source: Irish Times
- Reviewed: Herr Jesu Christ, dich zu uns wend
- Comment: May be considered as being subject to the election guidelines, so would have to run before 2 February

- If the 30 days rule is applied, then it cannot be run between 30 January and 2 March inclusive. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:49, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Joseph2302: Based upon further revelations that the person in question isn't standing in the election after all, I'm going to assume that the election rule now doesn't apply (thus maybe we could run it on the day of the election instead). What are your thoughts? The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 09:23, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- Fine by me now that Martin McGuiness isn't standing. In fact, possibly this hook could be saved until election day? It's always nice to have hooks relevant to dates. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:56, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Joseph2302: Agreed. To make it easier, would you be able to do the review please? The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 10:36, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- Review:
- Article is long enough (2722 characters), new enough (created on 17 January, nominated on 18 January), and article is within policy.
- Hook is short enough, interesting and supported by inline sources. Approving ALT1 for use on 2 March, the date of the election.
- QPQ done.
- Overall, this nomination passes, congratulations. As discussed above, this nomination should be kept for 2 March, the date of the election, and this article is not believed to fall under the politics 30 day rule, as Martin McGuinness, who triggered the election, is not standing.
