Proper spelling of this software is VideoPad, not Videopad. Everything on Videopad page should be recreated on a VideoPad page with a redirector from "Videopad". N3362 (talk) 17:37, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done, thanks. Check out Wikipedia:Moving a page to learn how to accomplish this yourself in future. Regards, Skomorokh 17:41, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crapware! Re-associates a lot of filetypes, then trying to download tons of "install-on-demand" shareware software (audio editor, ISO burner, some codecs, player etc.) 109.95.41.11 (talk) 14:59, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Trialware?[edit]

Is this actually trialware? The website states that there is a free version and a pro version. The free version outputs both webm and ogv (not mentioned in this article) making it a choice to edit videos for commons. But the free version is limited to home/non commercial use. Commons is commercial? --95.90.184.172 (talk) 02:40, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, the NCH website has been falsely claiming for years now that the home edition of VideoPad was "free", but after using it for a while they disable, among other things, the video export rendering the SW useless unless you purchase a licence (ca. 40 USD as of today). Clearly, they are deliberately misleading potential users about their licence model, then slap them with a fee. Which also appears to be very successful in luring superficial reviewers from lazy tech websites to repeat their false claim that VideoPad Home was "free". IMHO it is a pity that NCH lowers themselves to such dishonesty, because I found the software to work really well, and to be on par with other editors in that price range. If they had been upfront honest about their SW being trialware, I would probably have been willing to pay for it, but I don't believe in rewarding companies for lying to me. -- Theoprakt (talk) 16:53, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Feature?[edit]

Hi all, I'm an employee of the organization that created this product and I know the recent software release has removed the burning of "blu-rays" discs and hence would like to remove that mention under the "Features" section. This can be further verified by installing the latest version. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Softwarebuild (talkcontribs) 07:16, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
