Nani Vice Captaincy should be in the detailed section[edit]

The reader must be aware of that, surely. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 04:12, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/11/sports/soccer/euro-2016-portugal-loses-ronaldo-but-defeats-france-in-extra-time.html "Once the celebrations began, Nani, the vice captain, ran up to him and returned the captain’s armband as Ronaldo welled up again." Added section for the Moth[edit]

Anyone can edit it, to correct my bad English and make it more presentable to the reader. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 06:46, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Shots on target[edit]

There seems to be an odd disconnect between the number of shots on target, the number of saves/blocks, and the number of goals. I realise that the source reference provides these numbers.

For example, in the first half, France had seven attempts, with three on target, one blocked and no saves. What happened to the other two on-target attempts? Axl ¤ [Talk] 10:16, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

For the first half, France had seven total attempts. Of these, three were on target, three were off target, and one shot was blocked. If you look in Portugal's column for the first half, their goalkeeper made three saves, which correlates to the three on target attempts by France. Ah, I see. (I'm not sure why "blocked" is separate from "on target" & "off target". "Woodwork" seems to be subsumed into either "on target" or "off target".) They could have made it less confusing. Axl ¤ [Talk] 13:08, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
What I am confused about is in the second half how Portugal have 1 shot on target, but France goalkeeper has 2 saves. Qed237 (talk) 13:21, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure, maybe it has to do with Lloris making a bit of a mess of Nani's chip in the 80' before catching Quaresma's shot. Secret Agent Julio (talk) 15:56, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
