There are several films being shopped around / in the process of being edited on the life of Paolo Soleri. This film is the most significant of the films on his life. Aside from being the first film to go into production on the life of Paolo Soleri, on Soleri that Soleri was actually able to view and approved of. It is also the only film on Soleri featuring on camera interviews that were shot specifically for the film with well known people (Jean-Michel Cousteau , Catherine Hardwicke , Morley Safer , Will Wright , Eric Lloyd Wright, Steven Holl, Will Bruder, Paolo Soleri etc ) . The film features music & licensing with popular artists ( cky, thirty seconds to mars, andrea bocelli ), and the trailer has close to 45,000 views on youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXb9SoZ5YOI ) . The film played in New York City at Tribeca Cinema's in October 2013 at the Architecture & Design Film Festival, and will be screening at several very major film festivals in 2014 (that cannot be announced until the Film Festivals have made their official public announcement).
The film the vision of paolo soleri: prophet in the desert is considered significant in architectural circles. I don't see how write ups on different architectural websites, news papers in the United States and Europe, Dwell, The Los Angeles Times, etc are considered trivial. Also the Hallands Nyheter is considered a rather larger News Paper in Sweden. The Italian Consulate General of Los Angeles also has write up on the film (not used in cites). I wasn't aware the wikipedia needed an entire run down of all press something had received in order to stop a page from deletion. The film is also of historical significance as it chronicles the life of world famous architect Paolo Soleri, and Soleri approved of the film. The film features never before seen archival documents, such a letters between Soleri and Frank Lloyd Wright, as well as correcting certain falsehoods about Soleri's early life that were previously unknown to anyone even Soleri's own family. I think I should probably explain some of the notability guidelines in a little more detail. The problem is that although Soleri is obviously overwhelmingly notable, being associated with him does not automatically extend notability to something. The same thing goes for anyone else involved with the creation of the documentary. (WP:NOTINHERITED) A film is not automatically notable because it is about him, nor because it features elements or things that were not previously seen in other media. It also does not gain automatic notability because it corrects falsehoods previously circulated about Soleri. This all makes it more likely that the movie will gain notability, but it does not guarantee it. As far as it being significant in various circles, this has to be proven through in-depth coverage in reliable sources. Now what I mean by that is that the documentary is the focal point of the article and is not mentioned briefly or trivially. (WP:TRIVIAL) For example, this article in the LA Times is seen as a trivial mention because it is only mentioned once and then never mentioned again. Trivial mentions cannot give notability no matter where it is mentioned or how many times you link to a trivial source unless the trivial mention is in relation to something overwhelmingly noteworthy, such as the film winning an Oscar. Now an example of an in-depth source would be this link, which gives a lot of information about the documentary. One thing to be careful of is that you don't link to blogs as you did with this link. Blogs can sometimes, rarely be used as reliable sources, by large they're considered to be unreliable because they aren't run through an editorial board that we can verify and factcheck. Even if they're posting something from another source, we can't use them. Now the other thing to be careful of is overciting something, such as in the case of the documentary showing at a film festival. Only one source is necessary for verifying this, unless the source goes into a lot of depth about the film, such as giving a mini-review or a few paragraphs about the production. Now one thing I ran into is that you also used some primary sources, such as linking to the official page for 30STL. WP:PRIMARY sources cannot show notability and in general they're considered to be superfluous to the article. Finally, one last note: I had to remove some WP:COPYVIO from the article that came from IMDb. Film synopses are still considered to be a copyright violation even if they're the official writeup for the documentary and we have to rephrase it for Wikipedia.
