Untitled[edit]

This show seems to have quite the fanbase and it is brought up again and again on sites such as Slashdot. I gather there is a strong loyalty to the original show. For people who've never watched the show (like myself), the Wikipedia entry, as it is, doesn't tell us anything about just what made it so unique and much loved by geeks. Would it be possible for someone to add info on this to give some context? Allenu 03:09, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's tough to encapsulate what the show was. It was just as much the entertaining interaction between Leo, Patrick, and the gang, as the segments on the show. G4's gutting of the show (and the network) is a true shame. JPG-GR 07:37, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

G4 centered?[edit]

Why is this article so G4 centered? The Screen Savers was only on G4 for less than a year! 68.184.209.190 00:59, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy Dispute[edit]

The Screen Savers Website[[1]] has Patrick Norton listed as a host so the part that says that patrick left in July is disputed.--Ryan B. (Talk, contributions) 19:46, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

just watched The Screen Savers today and its not pre-recorded and Patrick was still on I am now going to delete the accuracy dispute notice and the note that says he is no longer a host.--Ryan B. (Talk, contributions) 08:07, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Patrick is no longer a co-host. During the last month of shows in San Francisco, they built a backlog of shows to air new during the summer so they weren't all reruns. These episodes included Patrick Norton who stayed in SF with his new wife. Now that production has resumed and the shows are once again live, the new co-host is Alex Albrecht. This show is now airing in certain big cities. So, I don't need digital cable or satelite to watch, say in San Francisco? To me, to say that a show is airing or on-the-air implies terrestrial transmission. Can I tune this in with a Sony Watchman then? --~~

Feel free to rephrase. --Menchi 06:14 14 Jun 2003 (UTC)
I don't know if I need to rephrase the article, because I don't know if local stations in those cities transmit the program (via a special arrangement with TechTV or something like that). I don't want to assume anything quite yet. -~~

Timeline?[edit]

What do you guys think of adding a timeline? I have watched this show since the beginning, and the hosts have changed so many times it's unbelievable (espically in the last 5 months or so), and the way it's phrased here is a little difficult to understand. Granted - I couldn't do better, it's simply a complicated thing to describe.

What do you think of adding a timeline of the show, outlining hosts and such? I wouldn't know what format to do this in, or I would consider making one myself. What format should it be in? A table? Or is this something wikipedia isn't?

Sets![edit]

I think there should be a better "set" area for it, like positons of the hosts and what the different parts of the sets did and were centered around.

And it shoud'nt be 80% G4 related, it should be 90% ZDtv/Techtv related!

EpiGuide[edit]

There should be an episode guide. TheListUpdater 19:27, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Downloads of the Day[edit]

Anyone think we can get a full list of downloads of the day up here? They used to be available on wayback machine but its gone now. -- iMatt711 20:49 26 August 2006

Cleanup Hosts section[edit]

Can the host section not be cleaned up or maybe put it in another page? --Nhlarry 03:34, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

any information about Nar Williams? he's listed as a host in IMDB, want to see if any other sources out there concur. riffic (talk) 03:07, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TSS Logo (Old).jpg[edit]

Image:TSS Logo (Old).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Wiped?[edit]

Are most of all of the episodes of this show wiped, meaning no longer existing, and is now a lost show, sans some home recordings? Any info on this? Because with the way things are now, G4 could easily dump this show on onDemand or Hulu, etc., and make a quick profit.
