Sourcing for age and hometown columns[edit]

Sources are needed for the age and hometown columns. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:53, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Marcwncs: Thanks for adding citations. However, I'm hoping we can replace the speculative source with one confirming claims. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:08, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This source includes contestants' hometowns as well as the cities in which they are currently based. Do we mention both in the table? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:32, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Brocicle: I agree, consistency is good, but I think the confusion here is "hometown" as in the place where one was born vs. "hometown" as in the place you currently live. As mentioned above, some articles confirm both. I'm not sure what has been done on other season articles. ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:16, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's what is listed in their confessionals. Might be because I'm from Australia but hometown is where you live as opposed to birthplace where you were born. See Alaska's hometown on season 5 compared to all stars 2 for example. In the meet the queens videos the queens state where they currently live as opposed to grew up (Plastique grew up in Vietnam but lives in Texas etc). Team Challenges[edit]

So I’ve stated this before and no one answered me. But the color should be changed for team challenge wins because they didn’t receive judges critiques so they should have a different color, and the people on the losing team who actually got good critiques should be stated as high. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B15D:B09B:30AB:27D7:8FD3:40E (talk) 14:38, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There was a good discussion on this topic on the Season 10 Talk page, though it is not clear that a consensus was reached and the change was ultimately not made. I personally prefer to leave the presentation as it is currently as this is consistent with prior season pages and I don't agree that the additional colors add valuable information to the contestant progress table. In addition, the instances where the queens compete in teams *and* are judged as teams seem to be so rare (this has only happened in episode 3 so far this season) that the information presented in the episode summaries lower on the page is sufficient, at least in my opinion. I'm interested in hearing other opinions on this topic, though. Yompi20 (talk) 18:59, 25 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Like if we’re looking back at episode 2 of season 10. Asia and Dusty were on the losing team but had positive critiques. And the winning team are listed as high but they never received critiques. Things need to be stated better. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B15F:5F2D:E061:85BF:8EA0:5B6C (talk) 00:27, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The way we have it currently is fine. Nihlus 00:36, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Then that would have been an issue to add to the discussion on the Season 10 talk page. There is not a similar situation yet for Season 11, so I don't see a reason for any changes currently on this page. Yompi20 (talk) 01:14, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

But it’s an issue on every page. You can’t tell me that when a team is declared safe that they are all high and received judges critiques when they haven’t. And then the a losing team member is declared just safe when they were the best on their team. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1008:B111:601F:E542:730:E860:EA70 (talk) 03:50, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"You can't tell me that..."
I don't know where you got any of that nonsense because I haven't told you any such thing. The only thing I have tried to express, and I don't know how to state this more clearly, is that the issue you are presenting has absolutely nothing to do with Season 11, at least not any episodes that have aired to date. At this point, I think you're just looking for someone to argue with, so I won't be responding further. I stand opposed to making any changes to the current presentation of the contestant progress table that you are proposing in this section. Yompi20 (talk) 05:06, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We have a situation now. Lol. I think the winning team should be stated as safe as they didn't receive any critiques and the queens on the losing team who declared safe should be 'Received judges' critiques but was declared safe' and the queens receiving negative reviews should be Low. --Sebasdfghjkl (talk) 02:21, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Contestants table[edit]

Quick question about the contestants table. The city column is headlined "hometown", but that means it's inaccurate for Brooke Lynn Hytes. While it's true that she was working in Nashville at the time she was cast on S11, her actual hometown is Toronto, Ontario, Canada. And this isn't just technical birth trivia, either: she's not a person who was born in Toronto and then moved to Nashville at age 3, she's a person who was born and raised and started doing drag in Toronto and actually got all the way to becoming a significant figure on the Toronto drag scene before she even got the Nashville gig at all.

So I wanted to ask for opinions about what we should do:

  1. Change her hometown to Toronto, with a source (several exist) which confirms it?
  2. List both Toronto and Nashville?
  3. Leave only Nashville because that is where she was working at the time she was cast, but change the column header from "hometown" to some other term that resolves the inaccuracy?

Color distinction for tables[edit]

Hello, is there any way we could use a different color for the episode summaries and list of episodes for this season, just so we can create a distinction from season 9 which uses a similar shade/tone of pink? Maybe we could pick up the bright yellow or orange from the promo poster or similar promotional materials this season? Thank you! k_cms (talk) 06:51, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
