Samuel N. Pike under books.google the reason for this difference is shure this old Book: Das deutsche Element in den Vereinigten Staaten von Nordamerika, 1818-1848 (A. E. Wilde & Co., 1880) listet Samuel N. (written like a =) R. (?) Pike.
This Book:"Das deutsche Element in den Vereinigten Staaten unter besonderer Berücksichtigung seines politischen, ethischen, sozialen und erzieherischen Einflusses: Unter besonderer Berücksichtigung seines politischen, ethischen, sozialen und erzieherischen Einflusses." listet right to read: Pike, Samuel N. Name of article[edit]
