Quote[edit]

I have commented out the extended quote, because there is no context for it. If the passage is particularly significant something should be said about rather than simply quoting it without explanation. Articles about authors do not typically include introductory passages from their works.--Jeffro77 (talk) 01:54, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling name[edit]

It seems possible that George Nathaniel Henry Peters is notable for writing one work a hundred years ago.
But who is George Nathanial Henry Peters?

Expand or delete[edit]

If further information about Peters isn't added, I suggest the article be deleted. Even the 'official' fansite, http://www.theocratickingdom.com/ has very little usable information about him.--Jeffro77 (talk) 05:28, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor told you three weeks ago that the article would be subject to deletion in its current form. You're interested enough to complain, but clearly not interested enough to expand the article.--Jeffro77 (talk) 02:32, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The decision of the AfD was 'keep'. This is an opportunity to provide additional information and sources about Peters. If the article remains in its current form for an extended time, it may eventually again be submitted for deletion in the future.--Jeffro77 (talk) 11:42, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Over a month since it was decided to keep this 'article' after an AfD, yet it still just a single sentence. Expand or delete.--Jeffro77 (talk) 14:20, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If another month passes without improvement to the article, I will raise another AfD.--Jeffro77 (talk) 14:49, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expert attention[edit]

Article could use help from someone familiar with Premillennialism, which seems to be what Peters/Theocratic Kingdom was known for, or with access to a religious database or library. Шизомби (Sz) (talk) 16:34, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an expert in Premillennialism, but in looking over the article's history i saw a deletion which was a case of "throwing the baby out wth the bathwater." The editor had describd Miller's beliefs and compared them to the bliefs of Justin Martyr. This was followed by a single sentence of original research or conclusion-drawing. The entire paragraph was eliminated but only the last sentence ought to have been cut. I restoed the non-conclusion-drawing material. 75.101.104.17 (talk) 07:34, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Unless the sources note that Peters had a similar view to Martyr, it seems like a fairly arbitrary inclusion. The only thing that remained was a single sentence which appeared in a section about Published works. Unless it is the only view expressed in that published work, its inclusion was arbitrary and without proper context.--Jeffro77 (talk) 08:28, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
