Gapes (disambiguation)Gapes – I have created this disambiguation page because I do not believe that Mike Gapes, to which Gapes now points, is the primary topic of the word "Gapes". I propose deleting the existing redirect and moving the new disambiguation page there. bd2412 T 23:31, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support He doesn't appear in the first page of a Google Books or Google News search for "Gapes". Individuals are almost never the WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT for a common surname/place name. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 06:44, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Thanks for creating the dab page but I don't see any evidence supporting the claim that this Gapes is not the primary topic relative to the other uses on your new dab page. A compelling comparison of page view counts would cause me to change my mind. I would check it out myself, but I believe this is the responsibility of the proposer. --В²C 18:33, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. There is not WP:PRIMARY topic, and we should pretty much never redirect a normal English word to a specific individual bio of someone who uses a two-part or longer name.  — SMcCandlish ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ʌ<  02:07, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and the good point by SMcC above. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 06:15, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. There is no "primary topic" for "Gapes". Steel1943 (talk) 02:37, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
