Sources[edit]

I and our team, can't do what you are requring. I tried and continue to fail. I can't give my life to this, so go ahead and delete this, as you've already deleted our other stubs - Maryann Mootos, Victoria Ulanova, and Jorge Novoa. Makes no sense when I see some of the other less notable people who have pages on this site are left alone. When things seem stacked against us and rules don't seem constent for all, I figure it's not the place for us or our artists..Too bad..Bad PR for Wikpedia for all our contacts too, who after seeing this, will not even try. We feel the same for the mess that has been made of Daniel Rodriguez page too. Would have been a win win for all. But not to be, at least by us.. Adios. Ok, all the references are now listed. Operadog 13:15, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs references that aren't directly from or connected with the Chelsea Opera Company. The rules here are quite clear. If those sources aren't provided, the article will end up deleted. | Mr. Darcy talk 15:58, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have a list of sources. Please consider placing them on page to allow this opera company to keep page. Greekvoice 18:44, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Heartfelt request for Chelsea Opera article to remain[edit]

Dear Sir, Mr. Darcy. I am a reader of this article who has never edited it. How can we help to make it a better article and have it remain. Please don't delete it. This is a respected New York Opera company, that merits its place on Wikipedia.LaeNamorada 22:01, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

added information[edit]

Just added two footnotes or references about Chelsea participants, but not sure if those should go as footnotes or as external links? Please change as appropriate. Thank youBroadwaydad 06:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikified introduction[edit]

Please discuss any changes you feel may be necessary before making them. Also, do opera companies have Artistic directors, or is this what is called the producer in an opera company? Is the chamber orchestra an house orchestra, or do they work with a specific chamber orchestra at times or with various ones? What types of "immobile citizens" do you mean, house bound or institutionalized? KP Botany 21:12, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I ony find the titles of "producer" in the website administration infor. for this company, and no use of term artist director. I don't have the answers to questions of specific chamber orcherstra and what types fo immobile citizens. Perhaps someone else will? Broadwaydad 00:46, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, I made some edits before I came to the discussion page, in regard to KP Botanys'reguest to discuss any changes. I know that the previous can be retrieved, but I'll wait and see if my edit's are ok. I did a few that he suggested on another page, such as spelling out the entire name of USO, etc.. Will check here first next time. Leah01 05:06, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted. The article has a style that makes it easy to read, that is the purpose of incorporating the choppy sencond paragraph in the text in the first place--it reads better, it's better organized according the structure of a small opera or theater company, and it is easier to read. Please feel free to remove the extraneous comments about the tenors, as I do agree with you that these add little to the article, and either remove or verify with a source the information about incorporation. Also, please assume that there is a discussion about the changes first. If there isn't one, then please explain your reasons for changes. This article is for Wikipedia readers, not for the publicity of the Chelsea Opera Company. Please treat it as such, and address the concerns of readers, some unfamiliar with the company, in future changes. Thanks. KP Botany 20:52, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm not sure what you mean by soliciting donations. I'm not soliciting for anything. I'm simply trying to comply with the request to provide information that Chelsea is indeed incorporated and also that they do have their own chamber orchestra. So I just posted in this discussin page what information I could find out about that. I am confuses that you seem to have taken exception to my doing what I am been asked. Sorry. but how else can I answer the questions asked. Broadwaydad 18:31, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See note on your talk page. KP Botany 18:39, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but there is nothing regarding this on my talk page, just references to Mr. Darcy, that have been resolved. Again, I was just trying to show that Chelsea is indeed incorporated, but now I dont' even see the request to have that verified. But I did post on this discussion page, about the Chamber orchestra question. Am I missing something here. Broadwaydad 18:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok now I find the recent addition about the Tax exempt imformation. It didn't show up the first time.. But I did post a reply. My errror, not understanding. I was only trying to give information of what was asked. I will cease and close my account if you wish. I seem to be only causing trouble, when I was just trying to do something positive. Sorry. Level of detail?[edit]

Is it just me or is this article way too detailed? Do we really need the names of the violinist or the production design coordinator, given that they're not notable themselves? | Mr. Darcy talk 00:00, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quite a bit can and should be deleted, probably about a 1/3, I reverted some of the deletions, details about tenors prior roles, just to do a wholesale reversion, these are already agreed upon deletions. Their outreach program is not well-enough defined nor notable enough either. This would improve the article and give it, by its scope, the correct depth related to the notability of the company. KP Botany 00:15, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy[edit]

This article needs fact checked for some of the same problems as in the Daniel Rodriguez article, inaccurate information from references. I would also ask the entire article be checked for improper quotations from sources without the use of quotation marks. KP Botany 18:33, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
