Quesitonable information about half marathon time[edit]

"Her last race was an event at the 2021 Valencia Half Marathon, where she finished second in a time of 30:20." - I realise this is sourced from the Athletics Kenya article but given the men's world marathon record is c. 2 hrs, this is clearly not an accurate time for a half marathon and a quick look shows the Valencia Half 2021 is forthcoming on 24 October source - so suggest this needs to be removed. It was a 10k race in Valencia [1], will update article. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:32, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - was just wondering if it might have been a shorter distance Zanoni (talk) 15:34, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it was a completely different 10k race in Geneva. The Valencia race is listed as another race in the same article, but she's not mentioned there. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:35, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tirop was stabbed to death in October 2021. This not only cut her career tragically short, but made her the first of two bronze medalist runners to be murdered that month; the second was Ecuadorian sprinter Álex Quiñónez, 9 days later.[2] How is the death of Álex Quiñónez worthy of the lead of this article? Also, This not only cut her career tragically short is clear WP:PEACOCKing. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:54, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
