Causes[edit]

Guardian quotes Railways Minister Rashid Ahmed saying the fire was caused by the explosion of a gas canister, and "the presence of kerosene with the passengers in the moving train further spread the fire." – Sca (talk) 14:07, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata[edit]

Once again, it appears that the Wikidata item for this article is creating issues. The article is currently in the hidden category Category:Pages using duplicate arguments in template calls. The only issue I can find is the map on the Wikidata article. My evidence for this is that if you go back to the original creation of the article, the map is showing and the article is in the category. There was no such map at the time, as there was no Wikidata item to link to. Nor was the article in that category, as there were no duplicate argument in a template to place it there. Can someone with experience with Wikidata (@Tagishsimon: or @Pigsonthewing:?) please sort this mess so that the article is removed from the category? Death toll[edit]

We have a reliable source saying 75 deaths, which IP editors keep changing, going so far as to alter the reference, even though said reference still states 75 at source. It may well be that the actual total is 74, but unless and until something extremely reliable, such as an official report, say this, we go with the sources. I'm fed up with the edit war over this, so have semi'd the article for two weeks. Mjroots (talk) 09:56, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
