Why does the map show the location as on the coast, rather than 19 km inland? Noel Ellis (talk) 08:59, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

... That's a good question. I can't figure out how that map is supposed to work, but bringing up the other town that uses it (Cust, in north Canterbury) it also shows the town location some considerable distance to the east of where it actually is. I'll ask at the NZ notice board (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:New_Zealand_Wikipedians%27_notice_board) and see if anyone knows how these work.
