On notability[edit]

William T Powers is one of the early founders in the region, and on that fact along, it's notable his contributions to the early settlers of the region, in the sense of locating towns/industry, establishing/involvement in early government and establishing an economic base for later generations. On sourcing/verifiability/neutrality: The article is extensively sourced with non-modern sources. This, in my mind, is not an issue in regard to the creditability of the sources. And these are all verifiable as historical sources. Just because these sources are not in electronic form, nor in a modern form of articulation, doesn't mean they are not authoritative, inaccurate or non-neutral. In the mid to late 1800’s this use of language was not considered self-promotion/non-neutral, but an historical narrative of events. On removal of notability/sourcing/verifiablilty/neutrality warning: For the above stated reasons, I've removed the warning. The article may need updating from the older form of language into our modern venacular, and a more modern form of citing references, but it should not be deleted, removed in whole or various parts of the content removed. I'm a major user of non-internet 19th-century sources myself; but until and unless the non-neutral language is removed, the notability more clearly established, and the borrowed language turned into actual specific footnotes sourcing the actual facts, the maintenance templates need to remain. May I also make a suggestion, several of the pre-1923 sources are available on-line. It would be a good idea to add inline citations to the article from these on-line sources.
