First scientific treatise on cholera?[edit]

I have a reference here that Dr. Clanny while chief physician at Sunderland Royal Infirmary wrote "Hyperanthraxis", "the first scientific treatise on cholera" during the 1831 outbreak. The reference is from a partly-fictional work, though (Alice in Sunderland). Any medical historians able to further shore up the claim? Chaikney (talk) 17:04, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
