Yes, why does the caption show 13th Battalion The Welsh Regiment at Houplines in France on 13 March 1918 spelt with an 'S'? Valetude (talk) 01:29, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It was in January 1920 that the archaic "Welch" spelling was formally adopted, it having been used informally in prior years. Army Order No 56/1920 and War Office letter dated 27th January 1920 refer to this. Keith H99 (talk) 12:06, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
