Vodka Tonic?

[edit]

This article's title sounds like pigeon English, perhaps whoever wrote this was sampling too much of the subject matter at the time - shouldn't it be Vodka AND Tonic (analogous to Gin and Tonic)? Even the UK-centric VAT term, would seem to indicate the drink has an "and" in it over there, and no less an authority than Elton John, that great British puffta (I know an oxymoron), refers to it as such in one of his little songs (along with horny backed toads, etc.). I know it is "and" over here. Jmdeur (talk) 21:38, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Gpia7r (talk) 03:59, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Every bar in which I have ever worked, and every bar I have ever frequented, the name is always vodka tonic. Google hits indicate it is the more common phrase as well. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 13:30, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It is a vodka and tonic in Ireland and Britain; it is a vodka tonic in the United States. — O'Dea 07:14, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
