I am the person who is the subject of the article. I am not very familiar with editing Wikipedia articles. The article has been made using a surname that I no longer use since my divorce. Can someone change the name and url of the article? https://twitter.com/Vidyut/status/1111952956293894144 Vidyutblogger (talk) 15:33, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Vidyutblogger: A quick couple of comments. I have removed the helpme template. The article has just been refunded to draft and we will be looking into a rename in due course. Please do not add content to the article. As a rule of thumb if you need to urgently remove any information then do so. You may also request any changes on the article talk page. The article has now been renamed. I think I would prefer to change the instances of Kale throughout to Vidyut rather than Gore because gore is also a verb. Not sure what MOS says but asfar as I can see we may need to use Gore. For what it is worth, I'd prefer Vidyut and many references too may not use my surname, as I tend to use only my name where possible. Some places insist on using surname, so that is unavoidable. But if a surname is used, please use gore, not kale. FWIW, it is pronounced differently from the verb "gore" in Indian surnames - like "Go" + "re". @Vidyutblogger. Thankyou for your comment. My best understanding is as follows, but I am open to non-COI suggestions and consensus whilst consideration is given to COI suggestions: I understand the default from Wikipedia:Naming conventions (people) to be firstname lastname per e.g. Oprah Winfrey as a basepoint. There are exceptions and I note Cher, Adele and Madonna (entertainer) for example. In all events an entry at Vidyut (given name) would be appropriate if the article is in mainspace. Alternative names are noted in the lede and I have done that already however it is open to being improved/tweaked. Within the body of the article use of the surname Gore is more conventional and for neutrality it is best to go with that instead of Vidyut which might be seen as more promotional though I might not oppose and even possibly support a strong reasoned case by a neutral to use Vidyut.(Missed sign by Djm-leighpark). Just to add I have gone through the edits you made and selected some small corrections where seemed appropriate at this stage, this was a good faith attempt rather than a perfection and I'd generally prefer to leave other things until I've worked over the article. See also other comments below. Thankyou.Djm-leighpark (talk) 18:46, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
