The intention of this article is to include a wiki article about vanity 800 numbers, and the research that has been conducted, proving that these advertising tools generate higher response to advertising. It is not a promotional piece for the item itself - the vanity number. Also, it has been suggested that the vanity 800 numbers article be merged with the phoneword article, however, in the United States, we do not refer to these advertising tools as phonewords. They are most commonly known as vanity numbers.
