Recent Controversy

Recent restructuring within the university due to Katrina has brought about alterations to its current and future direction. Budget cuts have necessitated the elimination of several programs of study (much as other New Orleans universities face) and some faculty and staff members. With student enrollment having declined after the storm, it is focused on maintaining its reputation as an academically competitive four year university.

Go?

I can't figure out how to do it, but when "university of new orleans" is typed into the search box and go is pressed, it needs to go directly to this page, not just the search page with this article as the 100% match. Mikelj 20:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Article source

Is the bulk of this article taken from the UNO website or did the UNO website take its information directly from this article? Runnermonkey 05:00, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Damn, looks like a massive copyright violation text dump from http://www.uno.edu/history.cfm has been in the article for over a year!! Thanks for finally spotting it-- I reverted to an earlier version of the article. Sheesh, -- Infrogmation 05:10, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
There is still significant out-of-date information on the page. Proposed projects for 2005 (Completion of Kirschman Hall, which will house the College of Business Administration, is expected in Spring 2005), speculative statements (The new name more accurately defined the institution as the metropolitan campus of the LSU System.) , and confusing advertisements for the university (There are: 19 Fraternities and Sororities on campus 26 Professional organizations, more career fields have an organization you can join Over 40 other Social, Service, or Religious organizations). Could someone who knows about UNO clean this up? PVSpud 15:24, 30 March 2010
