Initial conflict-of-interest disclosure
[edit]I must tell you that I am a current employee of Ultimate Software. I have cited several sources to indicate notability and strove to write in a neutral tone. Thank you for your time. Dporcaro (talk) ( Previous undated comment added at 12:58, 16 April 2010 (UTC))
More for employees on conflict-of-interest policies
[edit]Hi Dporcaro! Thank you for trying to follow Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest policies. I appreciate your honest intentions, but please note, that those policies very strongly discourage employees or other agents of a given company from creating articles about that company, as you did, and from editing existing articles that have anything to do with the company. With proper disclosure (see example below) persons with a conflict-of-interest are permitted to propose changes on an article's talk/discussion page, and discuss the article's content there with other editors. But they're also expected to refrain from editing the article themselves except in a few exceptional cases that you can read about in the reference/link I just provided, above.
Please look more carefully this section of the conflict of interest policy and especially this example in order to understand how best to make such disclosures. Oh, and would you also please remember to "sign" any post you make to a talk/discussion page by appending four "tilde" characters, like this ~~~~ to the end of the talk-page? When you click the "Save page" button those four tildes generate the standard-format signature line. It appears that you've been using just three, which leaves off the usual date/time stamp. Thanks, Ohiostandard (talk) 01:28, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. |
Hello, I’d like to suggest some edits to update older information for a more accurate view of the organization as it is today:
- Ultimate Software’s logo has since been updated.[1]
- Scott Scherr has retired from his role as Ultimate Software’s CEO. Adam Rogers is Ultimate's current CEO.[2]
- Since Ultimate is now Private, not Public, the NASDAQ symbol may be confusing. And the annual earnings won't be publicly available past 2018.[3]
- There are a number of old figures that can be updated (e.g., number of employees and client records).[4]
- Many of these 2017 awards and rankings have changed over the years. Here are a few:
* #8 on Fortune’s Best Companies to Work For 2019 list.[5] * #1 on Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces in Technology 2019 list.[6] * #1 on Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces for Millennials 2019 list.[7] * #2 on Great Place to Work’s Best Workplaces for Women™ 2019 list.[8] * #1 on Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT 2019 (midsize orgs) list.[9] * #2 on PEOPLE magazine’s 50 Companies That Care 2019 list.[10]

[edit]Edit request partially implemented
- The CEO was added to the infobox.
- The logo needs to be uploaded along with the appurtenant use license before it may be added to the article. The COI editor may use the File Upload Wizard to accomplish this.
- The specific financial figures could not be added because a description of each figure, its location within the article, and the proposed replacements were not included with the request.
- The non-notable awards and rankings section was omitted.
- The NASDAQ symbol could not be removed because a reference for the move from public to private was not included with the request.

RE: Missing source
[edit]Thank you for the edits and detailed feedback, Spintendo . I'll resubmit those specifics shortly. In the meantime, was this reference for the move from public to private insufficient? Edit request: Change Public to Private
[edit]- Ultimate Software is no longer a publicly traded company. Can someone update the Type in the infobox from Public to Private? Source: https://www.ultimatesoftware.com/PR/Press-Release/Ultimate-Software-Completes-Agreement-to-be-Acquired-by-an-Investor-Group-Led-by-Hellman-and-Friedman-to-Operate-as-a-Privately-Held-Company
- To avoid confusion, the last sentence in the first paragraph, "On February 4, 2019, Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners announced it would purchase Ultimate Software Group for $11 billion;[7] the purchase closed on May 3, 2019," can be updated to say, "On February 4, 2019, Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners announced it would purchase Ultimate Software Group for $11 billion and take the company private;[7] the purchase closed on May 3, 2019." Source: same as original.
