Southwestern English name
[edit]Is it not the case that this surname is primarily a Southwest England name? Although there are Tuckers all over England today, they would be descended from people in Cornwall, Devon or Somerset. ACEOREVIVED (talk) 20:39, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

That there are some names which began in isolated parts of Devon, but others - such as Webber or Tucker - which began in several parts of SouthWest England. There is enough information on the world wide web for us to conclude that this is a South-West England surname (the equivalent of "Fuller" in East Anglia or "Walker" in the North) so I really think that we should add this to the article.
