Thorrington has two r's

Didn't want to change it if it was 'wrong' for a reason, but Thorrington has two r's. Its right in the text, but the page title is wrong, and noticed it wrong on the Alresford rail page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.72.68.66 (talk) 16:21, 16 June 2011

The thing is, the only reliable sources that we currently have, i.e.

both spell it as "Thorington". It's not unknown for a railway station to use a different spelling from the place after which it was named. If you can find a reliable source that spells the name of the station as "Thorrington", please provide it here. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:46, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Is the evidence reasonably clear that the station has two valid spellings? This isn't unknown, my favourite local example is village of Campsea Ashe (or is it Campsea Ash) in Suffolk and I believe that there is also a 3rd spelling for the place which appears on at least one old road-sign. As such should we just acknowledge both spellings in the lead? PeterEastern (talk) 13:07, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
