The disambiguation page cites this movie as an "exploitation film". Is this really accurate? The violence was in a context, there certainly was a plot, and the acting wasn't all that awful (especially Wong's performance was convincing). I actually think "Untold Story" meets B-movie standards as far as acting is concerned. It never crossed my mind that this was violence and gore just for the sake of violence and gore, allthough it contains some truly gruesome scenes (the killing of Cheng and his family in particular). I guess it all depends on the definition of "exploitation cinema", which seems to be somewhat unclear. Nevertheless, a truly great serial killer flick, it really impressed me. true story?

[edit]

It says this is based on a true story in Macau. If anybody could find the crimelibrary article or something like that, that would be very nice! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Northwindbrat (talkcontribs) 07:04, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just try 八仙飯店滅門案- 维基百科,自由的百科全书, but you may have to get a reliable translator for it.

Fair use rationale for Image:Untold Story.gif

[edit]

Image:Untold Story.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

are you kidding me?

I'm just going to hope that whoever put this passage in was doing it as a goof; better to consider it vandalism than believe that anyone actually thought this was what an encyclopedia is for:

THE UNTOLD STORY is a film of legend among exploitation fans, renowned for its graphic depictions of violence, its intense and disturbing subject matter and its bleak mood. In short, it's not a party movie . . . unless you hang with a crowd that likes to watch car wrecks. Still, it's a powerful, harrowing film well worth checking out. 68.173.255.96 (talk) 00:52, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note: that passage also appears to have been plagiarized from this movie review: http://www.feoamante.com/Movies/STU/untold.html

Maybe there's other stuff here that was pasted in also, if anyone cares.68.173.255.96 (talk) 00:56, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story?? I came to this page looking for that one. 119.224.33.102 (talk) 08:35, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I hope that you were inspired by the misdirection to watch the ORIGINAL "Untold Story". I think Anthony Wong is a much finer actor than Stewie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:6AE5:2510:0:0:0:46 (talk) 20:16, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
