Much Older ?
[edit]incorporated with the Austral_Asiatic shows much older history Dave Rave (talk) 22:06, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
- Completely different paper it seems: the one you've found is actually an ancestor of The Mercury, not The Tasmanian. From what I can tell (from a very quick internet search; dunno any details), there's originally The Tasmanian and the Austral-Asiatic Review; they to merge to form one paper; Trove suggests in 1844 that paper seems to get bought out by the pre-existing Colonial Times, then in 1857 the Colonial Times seems to get acquired by The Mercury. We should get articles on all of these whether or not Trove gets around to digitising them. The Drover's Wife (talk) 23:14, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
