Setting

[edit]

I'm not convinced that this film is set during WWII or that the enemy are Nazis. The Saint and his friends travel openly on vacation from England, through France and to an unspecified European country (French signs, German castles) by boat and train with no sight of any Nazi soldiers or guards - policemen or the press are the main obstacles and are easily defeated, whereas Rudolf is seemingly a private operator, and there is clearly no war on between Germany and England. The Saint and pals sail blithely back to England at the end too. Frankymole 04:53, 09 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
