I would have to assume that it is shaped like an American, non-round ball, as you say, or more likely as a rugby football. If 'twere a spherical foosbol, why not just call it a ball?
I came here hoping to find information on the U.S. president's communication device, informally called "the football," always kept close at hand, with which he is able to activate a ballistic missile strike on short notice. It may no longer exist as such -- I would be pleased to learn so. Maybe there is info under 'Mutual Mass Destruction.' rags (talk) 21:52, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
