Taking as read my usual bleat about false titles (Rickett, twice), there are two minor drafting points:

  • Background
    • "The Light Blues had thirteen consecutive races coming into this year's event" – it looks as though "won" is missing before "thirteen".
  • Race
    • " umpire Rickett started the race … A false start ensued, with umpire Rickett failing to hear…" – one "umpire" too many? Tim riley talk 12:04, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
