[edit]A picture of the Court would be of interest. KJP1 (talk) 09:48, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- A beautiful image on Flickr here, [1] but I don't have Flickr and don't think it's shareable? KJP1 (talk) 07:10, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- No, it looks as though it is copyrighted. Nice photo though! Ghmyrtle (talk) 07:26, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Ghmyrtle, Martinevans123 - Yep, it's a great photo, and shows how distinctive, and how distinctively un-Monmouthshire, the house is. I may just have to head up the drive and take pot-luck on being thrown out next time I'm down! It's now apartments, I understand, so access may be a little easier. I had a great Bradney find on eBay recently. The full set of the reprinted History of Monmouthshire for a very good price. They all carry the bookplate of Lockyer's of Abergavenny. Do either of you recall that second-hand bookshop? It was on Monk Street(?), opposite St Mary's, when I was a schoolboy in the early 1980s, but I think it closed a long while ago. Anyway, another great source for Monmouthshire buildings. All the best. KJP1 (talk) 18:40, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
Location
[edit]British Listed Buildings On-line and Coflein both locate the Court at Llantilio Crossenny. However, Newman locates it at Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern. Thoughts? KJP1 (talk) 10:37, 27 November 2016 (UTC)
- This map here seems to show the parish boundary as passing to the west of the estate, so that the building itself is within Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern. Ghmyrtle (talk) 07:25, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Ghmyrtle - Yep, I think that's right, so have made the change. KJP1 (talk) 09:45, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
