1879 Swarthmore Garnet Tide football team was nominated for deletion. The discussion was closed on 23 September 2021 with a consensus to merge. Its contents were merged into Swarthmore football, 1878–1887. The original page is now a redirect to this page. Just a thought[edit]

With articles for 78 and 79, and no seasons for 80 and 81, why not just do 82 to 87? The lede might be more difficult to write, and while I confess I'd rather them all be single seasons, that might best fit the sources. Cake (talk) 17:27, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest, I don't think 1878 and 1879 could withstand WP:GNG scrutiny as stand-alone articles. I could not find a single contemporaneous source of any kind for the 1878 and 1879 seasons let alone anything that would satisfy WP:SIGCOV.
