Prince Danylo

[edit]

I'm not sure whether this is actually supposed to refer to a Prince Danylo of Chernihiv or to Danylo King of Rus. The original poster wrote of Chernihiv, so I didn't change it.

More here: [1] (maybe). I'm no expert on Ukrainian history at this time, but it seems that there actually were two Danylos.
Found more info about the prince. The page where the new information came from can be found here: http://www.uazone.net/Kiev_Lavra.html and is under the Mykolayivska (St. Nichola's) Church entry. -- mno July 7, 2005 22:44 (UTC)

Sviatoshyn cemetery, Theodosius of Chernihiv, the Nyvka river

[edit]

Thanks, for your editing in uk:Вікіпедія:Вікі любить пам'ятки/Київ/Святошинський район but uk:Перелік об'єктів культурної спадщини Святошинського району міста Києва hasn't been corrected yet.

Another small remark:

It seams like the article uk:Феодосій Углицький should be renamed uk:Феодосій Чернігівський.

And last but not least, you might know what the correct name of the small river uk:Нивка (річка) or Борщагівка?

Regards, TimeWaitsForNobody (talk) 10:05, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@TimeWaitsForNobody: Well, uk:Перелік об'єктів культурної спадщини Святошинського району міста Києва is sort of a copy of an official list. It has a lot of small mistakes but I am not sure it's a good idea to fix them directly there.
I am not sure which name is the better one, religious sources (like this or this) prefer uk:Феодосій Углицький or give both versions. I am not going to rename this article, feel free to do it if you want.
Regarding uk:Нивка (річка), Нивка is a correct name, while other names include Борщагівка, Борщівка and ЖеланьNickK (talk) 14:00, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your explanation sounds persuasive. I just was a bit dazed because the name of the church in Sviatoshyn and Saint's name in other wikis is Theodosius of Chernihiv. As you might know I cannot edit Ukrwiki but it's even better for everyone. TimeWaitsForNobody (talk) 23:26, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

St Nicholas church

[edit]

Dear @NickK:, @Qypchak:, @Ykvach:, @Олекса-Київ:, @AMY 81-412:

May you clarify another question?

Ukrainian Wiki has the article uk:Миколаївська церква (Святошин), which says that the church was on the place uk:Сквер імені Василя Стуса (Київ) and was demolished in the 1950s.

But sources say it was at Проспект Перемоги 111 and demolished in the 1930s.

Best regards, --TimeWaitsForNobody (talk) 00:22, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No idea, I don't have to look into this in more detail, sorry — NickK (talk) 14:35, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think the building was destroyed in 1930-s. The religious society was revived in the II WW and was banned in 1950-s--Qypchak (talk) 21:25, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's some problem. I make references to Ukrainian WIKI, using ILL template, but the articles uk:Миколаївська церква (Святошин) and uk:Сквер імені Василя Стуса (Київ) have another information so it creates inconsistency. It would be great if you could correct these articles. --TimeWaitsForNobody (talk) 21:37, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
