Why was the title of the article (Stormtrooper) moved from singular to plural (Stormtroopers (Imperial Germany)? Isn't this contrary to our naming conventions? Plurals should only be used when the singular form is so rarely used that it's confusing, right? How is that the case here? --A D Monroe III(talk) 22:42, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A D Monroe III, to match the first sentence, which would sound unnatural with the singular imo. buidhe 22:58, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's not a reason to go against article naming guidelines; we don't name articles according to it having an awkward intro. The discussion doesn't mention changing this to plural; it appears as an overlooked mistake. --A D Monroe III(talk) 23:05, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
A D Monroe III, Please feel free to open a RM on Stormtroopers (Imperial Germany) if you like. buidhe 23:11, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Why, thanks for that. --A D Monroe III(talk) 21:39, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Result of move

[edit]

There are several hundred articles linking to stormtrooper. As a result of the recent move, they now all link to a disambiguation page. JIP | Talk 12:43, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
