Assessment as of March 2007

[edit]

Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school site. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and, as requested, I'm reviewing this page. I'm currently giving it a grade of Start on the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale and an importance of Mid on this importance scale.

My reasoning is as follows: What is mathmatics? Check spelling Victuallers 22:58, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, there is a lot of unrefferenced information and work to be done on WP:NPOV Adam McCormick 04:36, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, the poor spelling has been fixed. Wpktsfs 00:37, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move to St. Francis de Sales High School (Toledo, Ohio)

[edit]

For consistency with all other Toledo high schools, I propose this move. Why should SFS be different? hmwithtalk 13:27, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, especially since there is another St. Francis de Sales High School in Columbus, Ohio. EagleFan 14:02, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
But do we have an article about this other St. Francis de Sales High School? If not, then the simpler title of St. Francis de Sales High School is preferable. --Stemonitis 18:07, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For all other schools titles that I've seen, it's city/state if there's any other school in the country with the same name. It's more likely people will use a search engine for "St. Francis de Sales - Toledo" than "St. Francis de Sales - Ohio". If you still want only one word in parentheses, then it should be "St. Francis de Sales High School (Toledo)", but neither should be used, as consistency is key here, at Wikipedia. hmwithtalk 19:38, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To Stemonitis, yes there is an article at St. Francis DeSales High School (Columbus, Ohio). And while there is not universal acceptance, Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(schools) suggests that [[School Name (Municipality, State/Region)]] is the convention for a generic school article title. Given the easily confused similarity of the names of two schools in Ohio, it seems completely reasonable for this article to be at St. Francis de Sales High School (Toledo, Ohio). olderwiser 12:27, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Irish knight.jpg

[edit]

Image:Irish knight.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:Kevin Granata.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Move to St. Francis de Sales School (Toledo, Ohio)

As the school has updated its name since expanding enrollment to seventh and eighth graders, and its change throughout the article, the article should be moved for consistency. Warpaltarpers (talk) 12:04, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
