With the addition of the review by the Washington Post (among other reviews), I believe that this meets the notability guidelines. C$ (talk) 16:50, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Group Rather Than Rapper

[edit]

I've just edited the article to refer to Spank Rock as a group rather than a single rapper. The article used to be about them as a group but in December an anonymous editor changed it (and poorly so, leaving the members part and group category, et al). Naeem Juwan goes by the name MC Spank Rock while the group performs under the name Spank Rock, that's where the confusion is coming from. They're a group just the same as Marilyn Manson is considered a band as well as a singer. --Breshkovsky (talk) 00:07, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The use of "his" and "their" in referring to Spank Rock is confusing. Some editing is needed to clarify where the text is about Naeem or his group. Folklore1 (talk) 20:32, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Amanda Blank is a member?

[edit]

I don't ever remember Amanda Blank being a part of the group Spank Rock, although they work together a lot, she is her own separate artist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.55.67.186 (talk) 18:08, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Members

[edit]

Could we get either a list of members in Spank Rock or at least a mention of how many there are in this article? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.122.73.204 (talk) 00:15, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spank Rock is a group!

[edit]

Change it back so the article it talks of Spank Rock as a group. Spank Rock is a group, Naeem Juwan a.k.a. MC Spank Rock. Without the producers and other members, he's just Naeem Juwan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.55.67.204 (talk) 16:54, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More importantly, it definitely should NOT read "Spank Rock (born Naeem Juwan Hanks)" unless he's actually changed his name. If it's a group it should be noted as such; if it's an individual, it should state that this is his stage name (see the beginning of the Dr. Dre article for an example).
