Please don't speedily delete. As I suggested simultaneously at the discussion Richard links to above, this is not bad in itself (though in its current form it is confusing and appears to have technical error or two.)) Instead it should probably be a section in The Co-operative Group, with the title Societies of The Co-operative Group. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk)

On reflection, with the (obviously better) merge proposals you're making, I'd be happy to go with that (which was more-or-less the type of article I was aiming for). As Hroðulf suggests, a new section can fit within the Co-operative Group. Merge (Berk2 (talk) 22:45, 11 August 2008 (UTC))[reply]
