Category

Changed "manufacturer" to "brand" since Seventh Generation does not manufacture any products themselves. --204.13.45.19 19:15, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Unreferenced claim

Something is wrong here:

In 2004 the California Integrated Waste Management Board found that Seventh Generation was not in compliance with California regulations and threatened to bring action against the company. In response, in 1995, Seventh Generation introduced a minimum of 25% recycled content into its rigid plastic bottles for all its cleaning products.

The company made a change in 1995 that was "in response" to a event in 2004? --64.81.224.82 02:03, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

I took that paragraph out because I noticed the same thing. Once someone can clarify it, please add it back in. —Cliffb 00:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

I removed a lot of text from this article as I fealt it read like an advert. If you wish to repost, please add to this discussion first. Rogwan (talk) 12:36, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

how do you suggest that I make this article as informative as possible without making it look like an advert? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniellealexander23 (talkcontribs) 12:52, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
It has more to do with the language used than the content. Avoid using hyperbole and unjustified claims. A lot of this has been removed now anyway. Also be careful in making claims against "unnatural" cleaning products and how the two compare. Rogwan (talk) 10:43, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Wikify

This article reads almost like a list.PB666 yap 03:41, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

That's because the list of awards should be formatted as a list, and it currently dominates the article. However, there is no need to change it from a list so I'm removing the wikify tag. -- Whpq (talk) 17:53, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
I've worked on the History part to turn it into prose but left the Awards as is. Rogwan (talk) 10:43, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Name

I managed to find the company's claim of the source of their name, " The company attributes the name "Seventh Generation" to the "Great Law of the Haudenosaunee". The company says the document states, "in our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.""

I've written it that way because I am completely unable to find any translation of any document by any variation of that name saying something close to "...seventh generation." Yeah, there are plenty of blogs and such spitting out the company's version with a variant of the name, but no meaningfully reliable source comes up with anything close. Anyone have anything solid? - SummerPhD (talk) 21:45, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
