Lead[edit]

Could someone explain what "DAWN" stands for. I suggest updating the second paragraph as such: ". She is the founder and Executive Director of Diaspora African Women's Network (DAWN), a US based non-governmental organization that works to promote African diaspora women in leadership and in African affairs [1]. What DAWN is is explained in the body. I've spelled out the acronym in the lede. Middayexpress (talk) 22:35, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking care of that! Until DAWN gets honored with its own Wikipedia page, I still think some explanation of what DAWN is would be helpful in the lede, but you are right it is described in the content.SamuelN77 (talk) 01:15, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No prob. Middayexpress (talk) 16:29, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Career[edit]

I suggest adding this details (in place of the second paragraph's first sentence) to Araia's work on Eritrea-Ethiopia peace process:

"Araia worked as an attorney for the Eritrean Claims Commission,[2][3] which was part of the peace process following the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the governments of Eritrea and Ethiopia after the Eritrean-Ethiopian War." SamuelN77 (talk) 00:17, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

May be a minor detail (but I think is an important information since I was initially confused myself): "attorney for the Eritrea-Ethiopia Claims Commission" potentially imply employment by the Commission, i.e. The Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague. I think that statement would be more accurate if it was amended as: "attorney for Eritrea's claims...". Here are some documents from the PCA database in support of my suggested change: In addition to citation [4], mentioned above, [1][2][3] SamuelN77 (talk) 22:28, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
