Father of leisure

[edit]

"The father of leisure" in Western thought? As well as being rank characterization, that's just not true -- what about, you know, Aristotle? Paultopia (talk) 05:43, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is sourced in the literature, which also describes him as a defender of Aristotle, so that's two strikes. Restored. Viriditas (talk)

Fahrenheit 451

[edit]

Sebastian de Grazia's theory of leisure is almost a response to Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 a decade later. I'm curious if there is a connection. Viriditas (talk) 09:58, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
