The term STEP has several meanings. It is therefore not acceptable that Short Term European Paper solely occupies STEP and pushes away the previous one http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=STEP&oldid=116193311. For guidelines see Wikipedia:Disambiguation. Lothartklein 19:33, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A disambiguation page named Step already exists. I believe that the contents from http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=STEP&oldid=116193311 should be merged with the existing Step page, while STEP should redirect to Step (according to Wikipedia:Disambiguation). Then, the current contents of this article should be placed in a new article named Short Term European Paper. Would this be OK? If so, I'll change it. Nusquam 20:22, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
STEP (not Step) stands for STandard for the Exchange of Product model data, but also for other things. Lothartklein 22:01, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are right. And according to Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Page naming conventions, there should be just one disambiguation page for all cases (upper- or lower-case). That is why I proposed that STEP (upper-case) should redirect to Step (lower-case). The information that used to be on the STEP page (like Standard for the Exchange of Product model data) is very useful and should therefore be included in the Step page. Somebody already created the redirect, the only thing that needs to be done now is the merging. Nusquam 10:48, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
