Bemani?[edit]

I wonder if it will be marketed as part of Bemani. SYSS Mouse (talk) 02:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's no information that confirms or denies that right now, we'll just have to wait for the official website, there's usually a Bemani icon somewhere if it is. --AeronPrometheus (talk) 19:53, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed songs without citations[edit]

I just wanted to ask why some confirmed songs have citations while others don't. Where have those songs been confirmed? And if they weren't, should they not be on the list? GillanTheVillain (talk) 03:19, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing has actually been confirmed yet, what is known right now is hearsay. The list shouldn't exist at all per WP:NOTCRYSTAL. All song information for games like this is tentative and you never really know what the final list will be until someone has the game in their hands, plugs it in, and plays it. Referenced or not, it's all guesses right now (aka Crystal Ball). --AeronPrometheus (talk) 04:06, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed in the references that it said "The Ace Of Spades" was to be performed by Metallica and not the original "Diamond Head". This is incorrect, the band "Motor Head" was the original artists. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.100.202.153 (talk) 19:53, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Konami sues Harmonix?[edit]

It's not appropriate to add it to the article, but this seems kindof fishy. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601101&sid=aHQODoKwFYrA&refer=japan Teancum (talk) 13:10, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We should probably leave that out. The bad typography of that article hurts its credibility. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 00:53, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While I agree that the content of that article is unnecessary for this one, I don't think that there's really much issue with the credibility of an article at Bloomberg.oknazevad (talk) 19:47, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection?[edit]

Since there's been a ton of vandalism, I was wondering if we should restrict who can edit it. --Jblacq (talk) 05:31, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First review is up[edit]

1up has reviewed the game. - Should probably start including these when we can find them, as it's now released. -- TRTX T / C 12:43, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sales[edit]

I've included mention of this report regarding sales of the game...since this low of a sales figure is almost unheard of. Especially comparred to its competition. -- TRTX T / C 20:45, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I say we should remove the Wii sales from the list. It is impossible for it to have sold 2 copies since it hasn't even been released yet. According to these sites, it will be release in 2009. Jblacq (talk) 15:25, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone on cleanup?[edit]

There is a whole bunch of stuff that needs to be cleaned-up, added, or changed on this page. Is anyone else working to fix? I can help, but not often. The one and only:Zanny77 (talk) 18:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is where I will be reviewing Rock Revolution. I will do my best to finish the review tonight because I have standardized testing all this week.-- Gears of War 2 (NGG) 00:41, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Extensive Review[edit]

Infobox

  • Try adding a link to ESRB's website when stating the rating. Also, the game was released in Europe right. ESRB doesn't govern in Europe.
  • Add a link talking about release dates.

Lead

  • Usually game articles consist of about 3 paragraphs in the lead: Intro, plot and reception. Because there is no plot because this is a strictly music game, try extending the lead. See Guitar Hero III for help.
  • In the second paragraph, try talking more about actual sales numbers and maybe different versions released.

Gameplay

  • "The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the game is played using guitar and drum set peripherals. Konami released a drumkit for the game using a 7-pad layout, but a dedicated guitar was not manufactured for the game, requiring players to use Guitar Hero and Rock Band's guitar controllers." Try using this sentence to flesh out the development section.
  • "Wii guitar and drum controllers are not compatible with the game." I think your trying to say that the Wii controllers for Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 3 are not compatible. Please elaborate.
  • Make sure all citations come after punctuation marks.
  • " The DS version also supports vocals using the system's internal microphone, unlike the console version which does not[1][9], due to a request by Konami stating that it would "potentially cannibalize the Karaoke Revolution series" and make the game be compared to Rock Band (which are both developed by Harmonix).[2]" Who did Konami request to? This sentence is very confusing. Please fix it.

Pre-Release and Development

  • You don't have to mention that Gamespot made the report. Remove.
  • "A demo build" Take away the word build.
  • Try finding info on what inspired the way the instruments are built and try to flesh out the section. It is very weak.

Soundtrack

Recording Studio

  • Make it a part of the Gameplay section.

Patent litigation

  • Make it a part of the Development section.

References

  • Find more references. Refs like 1, 2, 3, 5, 18, and 19 are used A LOT.

Verdict[edit]

I am failing this article because there is just to much work to be done for this article to be on Hold.-- Gears of War 2 (NGG) 01:21, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Was it or was it not?[edit]

I notice that there have been a few revisions stating that the Wii version was released, while others say it was not. Neither appear to be sourced, but to blank it would also remove significant information. mechamind90 05:26, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
